Managing Partner & Co-Founder
Todd Siena is Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Avia-Tek. Mr. Siena is based out the head office in Shanghai. His firm has successfully completed engagements with aircraft manufacturers, service providers, tier-1 suppliers, financial institutions, investors, and other aviation-related companies for projects ranging from market assessment to strategic planningto developing complete market entry strategies.
Siena, an Asian-born American, has spent over 15 years living in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan. He speaks Mandarin Chinese and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Studies and Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was awarded the John D. Stedman Award for Entrepreneurship and a fellowship with the Ewing Marrion Kauffman Foundation.
Siena's expertise lies in his ability to bring together resources and people of different professional backgroundsto successfully complete aviation and aerospace projects within a multi-cultural environment.
Recently starting his training for a private pilot license, he was featured in AOPA China discussing the need for FBO's and general aviation infrastructure in China. He has also spoken to leaders of the global aviation industry on China's aviation industry at the widely respected SpeedNews Aerospace Suppliers Conference held annually in Beverly Hills, California.

Commercial Aircraft Marketing and Airline Strategy Expert, Paul Clark
Paul Clark is a recognized expert in airline strategy and fleet planning. He literally wrote the book, Buying the Big Jets, which is the industry standard training material for airlines and OEMs.
Mr. Clark moved to Toulouse, France in 1984 to join the fledgling Airbus. After ten years of providing analytical support to the aircraft sales teams he established the Marketing Development and Training department in Airbus. He created and executed the Airbus Air Transport Seminar on almost 80 occasions for 2000 senior airline managers in locations on every continent.
In 2003, he established and branded AirBusiness Academy, a business education facility linked to Airbus in Toulouse and recognized by airlines around the world. As Managing Director he led the organization to a position of respect and success.
Paul Clark obtained a Master of Science degree in Transportation Planning and Management from Westminster University and is an Honorary Visiting Professor to City University, London and teaches for post-graduate programs at City and at other universities. He is the author of Buying The Big Jets, the standard text book on airline fleet planning.
Commercial Aircraft Marketing and Financial Analysis Expert, John Stonier
John Stonier has more than 25 years of experience in the airline and aerospace industry. He started his career as an aeronautical engineer with British Aerospace Military Aircraft Division in the UK. He then immigrated to the US, taking a position with Garrett Turbine Engine Company in Phoenix, Arizona. After completing his MBA, he worked for two aerospace consulting firms in Canada, completing several airline start-up and merger projects, as well as preliminary feasibility studies for new aircraft types. Later he joined Airbus Industrie in Toulouse, France in their marketing department, and then moved to their US-based team in Washington, DC.
Stonier was recruited to the position of vice president - product marketing by GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS), the world's largest aircraft lessor, based in Stamford, Connecticut and later London, U.K. At GECAS, he was responsible for technical marketing of GECAS aircraft to potential lessees and for internal evaluation of prospective aircraft types to be purchased by GECAS. Stonier was elected to the Steering Committee for SAFE, a financial and risk model used to determine deal profitability and suitability across all GECAS businesses.
Stonier holds a B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering and Master of Business Administration, both from Manchester University, U.K. He specializes in financial analysis, and has published numerous papers and articles on fleet planning and financing issues. He has been a guest speaker at Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan and at many industry conferences. His work has been used as examples in a well-known finance textbook.
Stonier is a rated FAA Airline Transport Pilot with more than 3,000 hours in large turbine and piston aircraft. He resides in the mountains of the south of France and spends his free time sailing, mountaineering and skiing.
Corporate Finance and Aircraft Finance Expert, Ute von Wiedenbauer
Ute von Wiedenbauer has more than 15 years of experience in structured and corporate finance and aircraft leasing. She started her career at KfW Bank in Frankfurt, Germany and later joined the sales finance department at Airbus SAS in Toulouse, France. She held senior finance positions of increasing responsibility at Saab Aircraft Leasing, Rolls-Royce North America and IAE International Aero Engines AG in the United States.
Von Wiedenbauer completed aircraft transactions worth several billion dollars, including leveraged leases, private and public debt funding, domestic and cross-border leases and Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructurings. Prior to joining ATBD, Ute directed all of the project finance, risk and insurance activities at Rolls-Royce Power Ventures, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rolls-Royce plc based in London with over US$200 million in power generation related investments.
Von Wiedenbauer holds an advanced business degree from Julius-Maximilian University in Würzburg, Germany. She currently resides in the south of France. She enjoys downhill and cross-country skiing, cycling, hiking and sailing.
Helicopter Operations and General Aviation Business Expert, Joe Watson
Mr. Watson has over 35 years of experience developing and managing strategic projects for a global clientele. He manages and conducts technical and business consulting projects including determining markets for new products, analyzing military and commercial market segments, and conducting audits focusing on management, marketing, operations, maintenance, organization, cost, efficiency, logistics, regulatory compliance, and business processes. His worldwide experience includes sales, marketing, customer service, public and investor relations, leasing, operations, maintenance and logistics management, training, general management, executive management, and consulting.
He earned a BA in Economics from Cornell University and the Naval Aviator designation from the U.S. Marine Corps, where he performed as a test pilot, instructor pilot, Presidential Pilot and served a combat tour in Vietnam. Mr. Watson has provided professional services to numerous government and industry clients, including the largest operator of business aircraft in North America, the largest such operator in South America, the largest provider of aviation emergency medical services in the U.S., the State of New York, and the United Nations. His clients include an international collection of aircraft and engine manufacturers, defense systems contractors, aircraft operators, utilities, and financial institutions. He is a commercially rated pilot with instrument and rotorcraft ratings.
Mr. Watson has served as an executive manager for a broad range of companies including Sikorsky Aircraft, Offshore logistics, Executive Jet International, Golden Nugget Transportation Corporation and The Forecast Consulting Group of Forecast International. Consequently he has first-hand executive experience in OEM and Operator sales and marketing; Aircraft Operations; Fixed Wing and Rotorcraft markets; and Civil and Military markets.

John Siena, currently a Partner in the Avia-Tek USA office, is a seasoned senior executive, visionary leader and agent of change who offers over 25 years of executive management experience. He has held complete profit and loss and balance sheet responsibilities in an international environment for the second largest connector company in the worldwhile serving as the CEO of their Asia Pacific operations.
His know-how crosses the Telecom-Datacom, Consumer, Industrial, and Aviation industries. He worked for Burndy-FCI, for over 30 years; career accomplishments include establishing multiple greenfield businesses, and factory startups in Japan, Taiwan, and China; he has in depth knowledge of international business, sales and marketing in both OEM and distributor environments, and operations. During the span of his career, he also participated in due diligence, acquisition and integration missions.
Siena is technically competent and spearheaded establishment of a design engineering capability in Asia where several innovative products were developed and many cost reductions were implemented. On the operations side in addition to factory startups, he promoted the design of low cost automated assembly equipment that replaced both manual assembly and existing expensive machine designs and established several product distribution centers in East Asia.
He successfully communicates and negotiates with people from different cultures to promote new business ventures and product introductions, establishes strategies,pursues rational goals in support of the corporate objectives,and encourages personnel to perform tasks with individuality while still operating within defined guidelines.
John is a graduate engineer with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy who studied at Rensselaer, UNH and other institutes for professional improvement.
